Woman on Cart
“
Woman on Cart” the famous sculpture by Alberto Giacometti, locally known as “Maren on Cart”, is situated at the square in front of the old town hall from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. She is the unofficial trademark for the town and in 2008 she was estimated worth more than DKK 100 million.

The Citizens of Holstebro
At the top of the pedestrian street twelve Holstebro citizens view the square. Bjørn Nørgaard’s ”
Citizens of Holstebro” refers to the sculpture “The Burghers of Calais”. The twelve figures is a present version of Christ’s disciples that will tell future generations of our own age.
Chaos Temple
The sculpture is located at the 50m high transmission tower at TV-Midt/Vest. Two lasers are shooting into a reflexion system. Spectators are constantly experiencing new shapes of movement around the tower. It is most visible in the evening.

Art Museum
Holstebro Art Museum is situated in a villa erected by tobacco magnate Søren Færch. The Museum is hosting Danish and international art and sculptures. For example Astrid Noack and Henry Heerup, including works by Picasso, Matisse, and Giacometti.

Open Air Museum Hjerl Hede
Seven weeks during summer, farms, houses and workshops are full of people from another time. Feel, watch, smell and taste and get a feeling of life 200 years ago.
Hjerl Hede is for both grown up and children alike.
Strandingsmuseet St. George
200 years ago, on Christmas Eve 1811, two British warships, St. George and Defence ran aground at the western coast of Jutland. 1300-1400 seamen perished that night and only 17 survived. The exhibition at
the St. George museum is of all the personal fates determined by the disaster 200 years ago.

Manor House Nørre Vosborg
Many well-known gests have visited
Nørre Vosborg throughout time. Among others Hans Christian Andersen lived here for 14 days in 1859. Today, Nørre Vosborg hosts many cultural events such as concerts, lectures, theatre, and ballet.

Nørreland Church
The nickname for the church tower is just as special as the tower itself. The
Nørreland Church is designed by Inger and Johannes Exner. It is a very beautiful and advanced church with a unique 47 bells tower and a beautiful carillon.

Thorsminde Beach
Every year, flow lines are put out in the sea to make a “pool area”. Handicap path, parking, toilettes, restaurant, kiosk and BBQ are close to
Thorsminde beach.
Stubbergård lake
Stubbergård lake was protected in 1980. It has a rich bird and animal life. The remaining of Stubber Monastery makes the area a nice place to visit.
