
Visit the scout camp
Everyone is welcome to stop by the camp. The camp is located in the northwestern outskirts of Holstebro next to the cluster of mounds called
Døeshøjene. Take a walk through the campsite, experience some of the large events or visit the exhibitions, cafés, shops and meeting places in the camp. You can also settle at the campsite for a couple of days or the entire week. You can bring your tent or your mobile home and there will also be some hostel-like accommodations. Outdoor actitivities
Nature experiences is a part of a scout’s life and at Jamboree there are plenty of opportunities to have fun outdoors. Golf for the entire family is a great part of leisure activities in Holstebro. Our
3 golfclubs, Holstebro Golfklub, Golfclub Storådalen and Borbjerg Mølle Golf, are all surrounded by beautiful nature scenery. Anglers find many exciting
fishing areas in this region. Fishing in the ocean, lakes, streams or a put and take are some of the places you can through out your fishing-rod. If you would like to experience the water in a
canoe or kayak there are plenty of places to go, for instance a trip down storå is an unforgettable experience.
Pilgrimage gives you a unique combination of nature, culture and church history. Many places you will find exciting nature playground, which the kids will love to explore, while the adults enjoy the beautiful nature.

Experience Holstebro city
Are your kids participating in Jamboree Denmark 2012 and would you like to experience the local area? Then Holstebro has a lot to offer. 3 times in a row the city has been rewarded with the title as the “Denmarks Most Beautiful Town”. Visit the
pedestrian area, the mall or the new Bazaar.
Tag along on a guided tour through the history of Holstebro and see the famous sculptures such as Giacometti’s “
Woman on Cart”. At the many
restaurants and cafés you can enjoy a good lunch.
Visit the Limfjord
Visit Vinderup or stop by
Sahl Church, where you can see the golden altar, one of the best kept of its kind in Denmark. Start the day by visiting
Hjerl Hede museum, where you can listen to stories about the way we used to live, watch the smith work and take a trip with the steam locomotive. You can explore the Limfjord by joining on of the
Limfjord Tales where a storyteller will give you a unique insight into the nature, history and culture of the Limfjord.
By the North Sea at Thorsminde
Thorsminde is a part of Jamboree Denmark 2012; this is where most water activities will take place. Besides water the city also offer great nature experiences. Take a hike in the plantations, enjoy the coast on horseback, or rent a bike and explore the area. Read more

Strandsmusset St. George. The museum exhibits items collected from shipwrecks, retrieved by local divers. Just like H.C. Andersen (fairy tale writer) you can visit
Nørre Vosborg Manor, an old manor from the 16th century. Here you can enjoy a light lunch or a stroll in the area.
